Heal The Bay!

Humanitarians/volunteers in the community inspire me!
Especially when I see little kids being involved because they are starting off at a young age doing good things for the community, our creatures and our environment. I'm a volunteer myself, have been for 5 years now; I'm in college and in a whole new place, but I wish I could volunteer as often as I would like.
Being involved in clubs at school definitely help motivate me to give back to the community which is an amazing feeling; If you haven't you should try it!

Started off the morning by heading for the Heal the Bay event at Dockweller State Beach to help with their beach clean up.

Heal the bay is an amazing non-profit environmental group to restore Santa Monica Bay!

Check their website http://www.healthebay.org/about-bay

Ford did a pretty awesome thing by letting people test drive their cars & would give back $50 per person who were in the car to Heal the Bay!
Thank you Ford and for the people test driving/being in the car for having such amazing hearts.

Sunshine was slowly making it's way over

Mounds of trash collected by volunteers
Raffle drawing at the end of event.

Congrats to Pete who was the lucky guy who won the 1st prize.

To conclude, FIDM Student council help raise an additional $350 for Heal the Bay event by just doing a simple thing!!! We participated in the Ford's "Drive one 4 ur Beach" and they donated $50 dollars to everyone who test drives their cars including the passengers.

Lets get motivated; be inspired to help our community, environment & our creatures! Doing simple things to help can create hope & have great impact.
